Photoetch - Machining

Machining

We tend to produce components that other volume manufacturers do not want to do due to complexity, difficulty or the variety of processes required to do the job.

Capacity is built around a guillotine, Bridgeport mill, 500mm lathe, a 13 ton press, two vibratory finishing machines, and tin plating and chromating lines.

We work in aluminium, copper, brass and plastics.

Dimensional control is from ±0.02mm, typically ±0.15mm. A 'large' part is 500mm long, and a small one 5mm.

Our strength is to involve other processes to speed manufacture and reduce costs. We can etch blanks and form in the press either individually or in strips. We can diecut and emboss nameplate work that we have printed. We can do our own surface finishing. We can machine and press printed circuit work. P.E.M. inserts can be placed in circuit boards, etched metal and machined extrusion.

Using a Tapmatic and fluteless taps, we can tap from M2 upward.

The key to success in machining is documentation, sharp tools and superb jigs.

The pictures speak for themselves.
